Junior High Art:

7th Grade Art:

Students will explore artistic styles and discover how they came about through line, motion, form, texture, color and the use of space. This exploration in history will give them a better understanding why art works were created and how it evolved through the ages.

8th Grade Art:

The specific objectives of Art 8 will cover a wide range of accepted art basics, principles and vocabulary. By exploring the basics the student will: 
1. Continue to develop his/her ability to express themselves. 
2. Continue to develop a positive self-concept. 
3. Develop an awareness of art materials. 
4. Begin to become aware of art possibilities of a life-long hobby,or career. 
5. Develop an understanding of problem-solving techniques. 
6. Further develop his/her original thinking.
