High School Art:

9th Grade-12th Grade

The specific objectives of Art I cover a wide range of accepted art basics, principles and vocabulary. By mastering the basics the student will: 
1. Continue to develop his/her ability to express themselves. 
2. Continue to develop a positive self-concept. 
3. Develop an awareness of art materials. 
4. Begin to become aware of art possibilities of a life-long hobby. 
5. Develop an understanding of problem-solving techniques. 
6. Further develop his/her original thinking.
